William E. Boeing:
William E. Boeing(1916-1934) is the man who started a new era to all the commercial aviation. William left Yale University in 1903 which leads in taking him an advantage of opportunities with all the risky and the financially rewarding with his old northwest timber industry. According to William his timber industry experience would serve him much well in the aviation career.
Under his guidance, a small airplane company was started into a huge corporation which was related to the industries. When the post-depression legislation in 1934 was given mandated and the dispersion of the corporation, in this case, Boeing has sold all his interests in the Boeing Airplane Co.., but even he started to continue to work on other business ventures. Despite of all these implementations William never lost his interest in aviation during the world war II he started working as a volunteer consultant for the company.
After World War II he started working on his dreams and made his dream with the jet age. William E. Boeing was always being a private person, a visionary, a perfectionist, and a sticker for the facts. The wall of his outer office bore a placard that read: “2329 Hippocrates said:
1. There is no authority except facts.
2. Facts are obtained by accurate observation.
3. Deductions are to be made only from facts.
4. Experience has proved the truth of these rules.
“According to his son William Boeing, Jr., he was a good perfectionist. While he started visiting his airplane body building shop in Duwamish Shipyard in 1916, Boeing started setting up all the improperly sawed spruce ribs. In which he brushed them to the floor and walked them all over until they were broken.
